Hey Everyone! I know it has been a while since I’ve blogged, but I’ve just wrapped up the 2011 Wedding Season and I’m super excited about getting caught up on all my weddings from this year!

First up is Lauran & Todd’s big day! About two years ago I was out to eat with a friend and California Pizza Kitchen in Norfolk, VA and this super cute waitress came over to me—She was so sweet and the first words out of her mouth were, “You’re Dana Duncan Photography, aren’t you?!.” I almost spit my drink right out because for the first time, someone other than my family & close friends had made a reference to my business. I felt kinda like a Z-list celebrity and it was AWESOME—I know that sounds ridiculous, but meeting people that know you are based on your work kinda makes it feel like you’ve made it Lauran then proceeded to tell me that her & her boyfriend, Todd, weren’t engaged yet, but she knew I was going to be their wedding photographer! I loved her instantly. Soon after Todd & Lauran were engaged and we made it official

fast forward.

Laura & Todd’s ceremony and reception were held at her mothers home in Suffolk, VA and it was so amazing! Lauran owns a vintage furniture rental company {Something Old, Something Borrowed Event Rentals} and her wedding was filled with some of the most amazing decor I’ve ever seen at an event! Seriously, you are going to be amazed by all of the fun stuff below Amy Stanley, owner of Style By Design, rocked out some amazing graphics and a photobooth backdrop to die for. She made all of those flowers BY HAND. Hats off to you Amy! The rest of the day was filled with lots of beautful moments, a touching ceremony and some amazing dancing that lasted into the night.

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure to travel up to New Jersey for Pam & Brandon’s big day! It was my first Jersey wedding and wowza—they don’t miss a beat up there! EVERY detail of the day was thought out and I might have seen some fist-pumping on the dance floor

In all seriousness, Pam did such an amazing job with all of the details of her wedding–i’m still in awe over her dress in the tree—yum!

Recently I had the pleasure of traveling down to Asheville, North Carolina to capture Laurie & Jason’s big day. The ceremony and reception both took place at the beautiful Lioncrest on the Biltmore Estates {If you have not had a pleasure to visit, I highly recommend it!}. Daevid of Norfolk did an amazing job decorating the venue & the centerpieces were to die for Have I ever mentioned how much I love details

I can’t help but smile looking through Laurie+ Jason’s wedding photos. They are such amazing people and unbelievably in love.

Thank you guys for letting me be a part of your wedding weekend—it was truly beautiful! I hope you guys enjoy the pictures below!

Meet William & The VanOrman family. Sarah didn’t want to know if the baby was a boy/girl, but Danny did—so they went through the entire pregnancy with only him knowing! How awesome is that?

Eli was SO much fun during this session—he barely sat still for 2 seconds, but managed to strike this adorable pose. I think he’s pondering if its time to eat again

Trevor has been a regular on the blog from a young age! We captured some maternity pictures with Kim & Shane, newborn pictures when he was just a few days old & 6 month pictures back in the fall. It is so wild to see how much & how quickly he has grown up!
